Horizons Initiative

Expanding access to STEM through opportunity.

Horizons is a Caribbean Robotics Academy (CRA) Initiative designed to bridge the gap in STEM education access by supporting public schools with limited resources. Horizons offers selected schools the opportunity to implement a full competitive robotics program with the guidance, tools, certifications, and mentorship necessary for success.

Who is eligible?

  • Public schools located in Puerto Rico

  • Schools committed to engaging students in robotics and STEM

  • Administrators willing to support the program and participate in official CRA onboarding

What the program includes:

  • A complete competitive robotics curriculum

  • Access to CRA's advisory and coaching support

  • Remote instruction and on-site mentorship

  • Path to compete in official VEX Robotics events

  • Support with equipment and funding strategies

A gateway to competitive robotics
Schools selected for the Horizons Initiative become part of CRA's broader Competitive Robotics Program. Students learn to build, code, and document their engineering process — developing skills that prepare them for future careers in STEM.
